Trigonix offers rare books and historical documents scanning services to academic and public libraries, museums, national and corporate archives that need to protect their documents from deterioration and / or need to put them on CD, DVD, intranet or the web. This material is often time-fragile, unique and valuable and must be digitized with great care. To accomplish this, Trigonix works with special scanners that scan bound documents like books, newspapers, manuscripts and pamphlets without removing the binding. The scanning is done with the document face up and the use of a book cradle guarantees that the bookbindings will not be damaged. In addition, Trigonix uses specialized software tools to remove the shadow area at the book gutter and to correct the book curve so that the script appears without distortion.
Unbound books
Trigonix also scans books and other fragile documents that are unbound. Scanning is either done page by page or in batch depending on the degree of fragility of the materials.
